Looking forward to this weekend's big trip, I thought I'd take a chance to highlight a few beers I'm hoping to get my hands on while in the Green Mountain State.  Below are a few brews that I've heard great things about and also a few favorites I've already tried:

 


Ten Bends Beer - Cream Puff War
A milkshake style Double IPA brewed with lactose, oats and honey malt with varying fruit additions including Pineapple, Peach or Mango.

Hill Farmstead - Double Galaxy
Imperial India pale ale brewed exclusively with Galaxy™ hops.

Wunderkammer Bier - Citra/Nelson Bottle Fly
Citra/Nelson Bottle fly is a further exploration of our mixed culture Pale Ales. Citra is a staple of American aroma hops, peachy and intense. Nelson is a New Zealand variety with beautiful wine grape notes. Both hops come together, complimented by the pineapple notes of the brett culture, to create another simple, quaffable and refreshing beer.

Mixed fermentation and aged in a puncheon.



Foam Brewers - Youth Lagoon
tasting notes: citrus, passion fruit, lychee

Foam Brewers - Block Print: Strawberry + Vanilla
Sour Ale brewed with lactose, fermented with strawberries, and conditioned on vanilla bean.

The Alchemist - Rapture
An American IPA brewed with Galaxy and Citra hops.

Lawson's Finest Liquids - Double Sunshine
This American Double India Pale Ale is packed with juicy tropical fruit flavors and bright herbal aromas, thanks to the abundance of US-grown hops.

Upper Pass Beer Company - Cloud Drop
This beer is aggressively hopped in the whirlpool and post fermentation with six hop varieties, making it juicy and flavorful, but not too bitter. The malt bill contains a blend of German and English base malts, Munich, oats, and wheat, contributing to a smooth mouthfeel and nice flavor. Drink Responsibly

Fiddlehead - Mastermind
American Double IPA with tropical fruit notes. Straw colored, hazy glow and pineapple and Cantaloupe characteristics. This beer finishes with a slight tartness. 25% of sales are donated to the UVM Medical Center Children's Hospital.

The Alchemist - Heady Topper
We love hops – that’s why our flagship Double IPA, Heady Topper, is packed full of them. Heady Topper was designed to showcase the complex flavors and aromas these flowers produce. The Alchemist has been brewing Heady Topper since 2003. This Double IPA is not intended to be the strongest or most bitter DIPA. It is brewed to give you wave after wave of hop flavor without any astringent bitterness. We brew Heady Topper with a proprietary blend of six hops – each imparting its own unique flavor and aroma. Take a big sip of Heady and see what hop flavors you can pick out. Orange? Tropical Fruit? Pink Grapefruit? Pine? Spice? There is just enough malt to give this beer some backbone, but not enough to take the hops away from the center stage.
